Water - The Silent Valley Dam

Class
7 went to study the Silent Valley Dam in the very beautiful Mourne Mountains.
It was built in 1923 and finished 1933. It took 2000 people to build
it.

Even
though in Belfast it rains a lot, our water supply is getting less due
to global warming. The demand for water is growing so the dam is very
important.
|

We
must always remember to turn taps off and only use the water we need.
